Covid-19 in Tāmaki Makaurau

Covid-19 has changed the world in many ways and for the creative sector it has presented some of the toughest challenges to date. There is a strange energy that is created through difficulties when you are an artist, you are forced to think differently, to try new things, to implement new strategies and systems to ensure that you are able to survive the coming months. It is a strange gift to have time imposed by lockdowns but it can be used to find fresh ideas and directions & this is something that was a rare dream for many only a few years ago.

We are working on a range of projects, designs, murals and future plans but we are doing ok and looking forward to a full year of study next year. We are taking the year off major events and festivals to do full immersion te reo Māori and it is something we can't wait for!. To all of the creatives and those who are finding lockdowns and changes difficult stay strong and find the people who love you and stay close.
